Administration Officer - Prison Support (Langi Kal Kal, Ballarat 2 Days/Week)

Role & Duties:

Earlier this year, the Department of Justice rolled out a new Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) electronic database for use in prisons and as a result, Caraniche has an Administration Support position available at Langi Kal Kal prison. These roles are to provide support to clinicians on location who provide diverse clinical interventions to prisoners, within a collaborative and supportive team culture. This includes the provision of harm minimisation programs, group and individual therapy, release preparation and support, and various other AOD programs and services. The administration positions are available within the prison environment and involve direct administration support to the clinical team, mainly through the inputting of client information into the electronic database, and also assisting in the management of waitlists and maintenance of client and intervention records.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

Successful candidates must have sound administration, organisational and computer skills, with previous exposure to and use of electronic client records or databases. Experience in a health or custodial setting will be viewed favourably.
