An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Clinician (Social Worker / Psychologist) to join the rapidly expanding Training and Workplace Services (TWS) team. Reporting to the TWS Manager, the Clinician will provide counselling and / or crisis intervention to a client population with a wide range of clinical and mental health issues from varying ethnic, religious backgrounds and other minority groups. The Clinician role will also include training facilitation within their area of expertise. Some travel to other Caraniche offices and locations may be required.

Role & Duties:

  • Deliver Intervention Services including risk assessment and formulation of treatment plans
  • Individual treatment including Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling, Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and other work related counselling interventions
  • Training – development and / or facilitation of calendar and customised training in clinical topics
  • report  writing, referral to other services, record keeping, file maintenance, and liaising with other services as required

Qualifications & Experience:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will be a registered Psychologist / Social Worker experienced in engaging in clinical work from a workplace wellbeing perspective and interested in facilitating training workshops in core areas of expertise. You will need high level communication and interpersonal skills with the natural ability to engage an individual client or group.


The Clinician will gain exposure working within multidiscipline systems and teams, whilst participating in regular and endorsed continuing professional development, and both individual and group peer supervision. In these forums, focus includes reflection upon case assessment and multiaxial diagnosis; treatment formulation, conceptualisation and intervention; reflection upon own practices, including transference and countertransference; presentation of case formulations and progress of interventions.
