Caraniche is contracted by Justice Victoria through ACSO/COATS to receive referrals under CISP and CREDIT for individuals involved in the justice system (i.e. on parole, a CBO, ICO or bail).
These referrals request assessment and/or short-term focussed counselling for mandated drug and alcohol using offenders with a focus upon achieving behaviour change.
Caraniche has been contracted by the Department of Justice to deliver ADAPT programs throughout Victoria until July 2013. ADAPT is a 40-hour group program for male CCS offenders who have committed violent offences under the influence of alcohol. The program sessions are co-facilitated and run for a 10-13 week period. Potential participants are assessed for suitability and post-program assessment is conducted.
The CV Psych-Ed program, developed by Corrections Victoria, (Problem Solving, Your relationships & Communication & Healthy Emotional Development) is a 35-hour educational program aimed at moderate risk offenders in the community.
