How we help you get back on the road

How to complete the program and get back to driving

  1. Register for the VicRoads Safe Driving Program by clicking here (link to on the on the Caraniche TryBooking page)
  2. Complete the VicRoads Safe Driving Program at Caraniche to receive your VicRoads Safe Driving Program Completion Certificate.
  3. Submit your VicRoads Safe Driving Program Completion Certificate directly to VicRoads by:

In Person: Find your nearest VicRoads Customer Service Centre

Only VicRoads-approved providers such as Caraniche can issue a VicRoads Safe Driving Program Completion Certificate to help you get back on the road.

  • $527 VicRoads/Government fee (Caraniche collects and forwards on to VicRoads)
  • $313 Caraniche training fee to cover the program delivery

About the VicRoads Safe Driving Program

  • The Safe Driving Program is a program approved by VicRoads under the Road Safety Act 1986.
  • Victorian drivers and riders, who commit certain driving offences, may receive a court order requiring them to complete a VicRoads Safe Driving Program.
  • Registration for the VicRoads Safe Driving Program is only open to individuals who have been instructed by court order to complete the course.
  • Only VicRoads-approved providers such as Caraniche can issue a VicRoads Drink Drive Behaviour Change Program Completion Certificate to help you get back on the road.

What you need to bring on the day

Identification

You will need to bring evidence of your identity with you to attend the program and receive your VicRoads Safe Driving Program Completion Certificate.

One the day of the program you will need to bring:

  • One Category A evidence document (e.g. Passport, driver’s license or full Australian birth certificate)
  • One Category B evidence document (e.g. Medicare or bank card)

Timing and attendance on the day

  • It is a VicRoads requirement that participants arrive early and attend the full day.
  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late or you need to leave early, or return late from a scheduled break, you will need to rebook the course and attend on another day.
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the program for a final registration check, and to fill out a questionnaire prior to starting the session.
  • It is essential that participants are present for the entire program to ensure all content is covered and so that you can be approved as having completed the course and receive your Completion Certificate.

Participants that have any special requirements e.g. travelling extended distances should contact the Caraniche Safe Driving team know by calling the Caraniche office.

 

Cancellation and Bookings policy

If insufficient participants are enrolled in a program Caraniche reserves the right to cancel the program. Participants’ registrations will be transferred to another program. Cancellations are not able to be accepted within 7 days of the program date. Cancellations more than 7 days from the program date may be transferred to another program or may get a refund less an administrative fee.
